Peggy Lou Winchester

Peggy Lou Winchester nee Bess, of Maryland Heights, Missouri, was born on Sunday, July 4, 1937, in Advance, Missouri, to Wilbur and Magdelene (nee Dunning) Bess. She passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026.

Peggy married Jack Dee Winchester on June 18, 1955, in Tunica, Mississippi, and to this union three sons were born: Steven Dee Winchester, Michael Wayne Winchester, and Dennis Ray Winchester.

Peggy was a member of Fee Fee Baptist Church. She worked as a customer service rep at Thomas B. Moore Co. for 36 years. She loved going to her sons' baseball games - she was a good cheerleader. She also loved playing games with her grandkids, and going fishing with Jack. Peggy was a Merle Haggard fan; she loved all of his music.

Peggy loved her family and friends and missed all of them as they preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Magdelene Bess, her brother Gary Bess, and her sister Nancy Bess Isgriggs. She is survived by: her three sons: Steven Dee Winchester of California (Ellen), Michael Wayne Winchester of Missouri (Staci), Dennis Ray Winchester of North Carolina (Linda); her grandchildren: William David Winchester (Kristen) and Mark McNamara, both of California, and Angie Winchester and Brian Ray Winchester (Angela), both of North Carolina; her great-grandchildren: Alana Winchester, Hayden Winchester; nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers in law, and many friends.
