

Ross J. “Jim” Quirk, age 81, of Bridgeton, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2014. He was the loving husband of Loretta J. Quirk, nee Maples, who survives. They were married January 30, 1960. He is also survived by his children Patricia Lakins, Deborah (Dale) Calicotte, Diane (Robert Baumhoff) Lokey and Mike Quirk; grandchildren Jason and Jennifer Lakins, Dan and Derek Calicotte, Meghan and Michael Lokey, and Shelby and Brandi Baumhoff; great-grand children Tyler and Khloe Lakins and Collin Blegen; and a sister in law Ruth Pope. He was preceded in death by siblings Daniel and John Quirk and Ann Poynter.
Jim was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jim was retired from the Ford Motor Company where he worked in the data processing department. His family said he enjoyed participating in golf and bowling and enjoyed watching most all other sports. He was an all around sports enthusiast. Jim also was active in his childrens’ sports life, serving as a Khoury League manager for several years.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Mo. Keeping with Jim’s wishes his body will be cremated after the funeral service. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1. Please note there will be no visitation on Sunday.
