Stephen Eugene Bolderson, 64, of Edmundson, MO passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Billie (nee Coursey) Bolderson and a brother, David Bolderson. He is survived by his children, Adam (Mary) Bolderson, Kate (Adam) Tabers, Kim Bolderson, and Sean Bolderson and their mother, Maggie Bolderson; grandchildren, Sophia and Austin Tabers; brother, Father John Bolderson; sister-in-law, Sally Bolderson; nieces, Angela Bolderson and Joanne (Steve) Keiper; and nephew, J.D. Bolderson.
Stephen was a proud Marine who served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer. Some would say he was stubborn and proud with a unique personality. But he loved his family in his own ways. He was always willing to help out a friend in need and loved to fix things. Stephen was always working on a project (even though he might not have finished it!) He adored his grandchildren. He taught his grandson, Austin, the love of working on things and called his granddaughter, Sophia, his “hero”, due to the fact that she recognized the signs of her grandpa’s stroke when she was only ten and helped to give him more years to enjoy his family.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3500 St. Luke Ln, St. Ann, MO 63074. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to either the JB Food Pantry, 78 Davis St., St. Louis, MO 63125 or the James Foundation at Maramec Springs, 320 S. Bourbeuse St, St. James, MO 65559.
