Velma L Hall

Velma L. Hall, 97, of O'fallon, MO, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025. A life well-lived and deeply loved, Velma was known for her gentle spirit, strong faith, and warm heart.

Born on May 20, 1928, in Saline County, Illinois, Velma was the daughter of Bert and Ora Keelin. She grew up alongside her siblings Vurble, late Bert, late Verna, and late Dena, with whom she shared a close and loving bond throughout her life.

Velma was the devoted wife of the late Robert W. Hall. She was a beloved stepmother to the late Linda Gunter and Ronnie Hall, and to Gary Hall, Kevin (Sue) Hall, and Bruce (Tammy) Hall. She embraced her role in their lives with grace and love.

She was a proud grandmother to Shelly Gunter, Hilary (Jason) Alexander, Stephanie (Jason) Jolly, and Katie (Andy) Gerringer, and a joyful great-grandmother to five adoring great-grandchildren. Velma was also a cherished aunt to eleven nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Velma worked for over 30 years at Balder Electric, where she was known for her dedication and work ethic. After retiring, she pursued her passion for travel and began a second career as a travel agent, helping others explore the world as she had always loved to do herself.

An active member of Trinity Nazarene Church, Velma’s faith was the foundation of her life. She found joy in music, worship, and community, and touched many lives through her involvement in the church.

In her later years, Velma became a beloved resident at The Landing, Assisted Living, where she was treasured by staff and fellow residents alike for her kindness, wit, and loving presence.

Velma will be remembered for her unwavering faith, love of family, and the gentle way she moved through the world—leaving it better than she found it.

A visitation for Velma will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
