Verlon was a true caregiver at heart. Throughout her life, she was always putting others’ needs before her own. She loved her family very much and always made sure that she was there to help. Verlon also loved the Lord and attending services at First Assembly of God. She was self-taught in all forms of “hand work”, regularly practicing her skills at crocheting, quilting, and embroidering. Verlon even participated in the quilting club at her church, from which many quilts that were made were shipped overseas to those in need. She was also a wonderful cook, a fantastic baker, and an amazing gardener. Verlon will be remembered for both her sass and her class, and she will be greatly missed by her dear family and friends.
Verlon’s family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at Caregivers Inn for going above and beyond to care for her during her time there. All of your effort meant so much!
Memorial donations may be made in Verlon’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
