Vic is someone who was in my life from the day I was born - literally.  His mother was with my mother during the delivery as my father was in the Army.  I have always considered Vic and his parents as family.  I remember Vic and his exploding experiment in the basement.  I remember the stories of the family trip to Cuba. He was a marvelous host when we were on our first trip to the UK.  He always cheered me up whenever we spoke and I will miss those conversations greatly.  Vic was truly a wonderful,intelligent, and gracious  person.

I've known Uncle Vic my whole life. He was my dad's best friend even before I was born. When I was a little girl, I remember my parents letting me stay up late when Vic would visit and falling asleep listening to his deep voice. Later when traveling for work, I'd schedule layovers in St. Louis so we could spend time together...he even took me to the famous arch :).

Vic always gave me great advice and made me laugh. I'll never forget his big hearty laugh or how he would listen with such focus before offering his thoughts, often starting with "You know, Suzi...". It still makes me smile.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, as you mourn Vic's passing.  Vic was always so pleasant when he answered the phone then would get you on the line so we could talk. 
 I pray that God will give you the strength to see you through this sad and difficult time, and I know he will.  Remember all the good times that you have spent together with Vic over the last nineteen years.
  If you need someone to talk to I am always there, I may not know the exact words to say but I make an excellent listener.

Dad, we will miss you so much.  We are glad for years of great memories and that the kids got to spend  time with you.  Dont worry Keri Gae Miss America Hannah is still around.  We will miss you.

    Helen & I have been close friends with Vic for over 50 years.  Although we haven't seen each other often in recent years, we have always considered him our closest friend.  Vic was the brother I never had.  We will miss him terribly. 

We first met at Ohio State while studying for our Doctorate Degrees in Chemistry.  We shared a laboratory and Vic often took my wife Helen out for drinks, while I was working late in my laboratory.  Later, we worked at the same Company for many years and went out for Lunch together, almost every day.  
 
    Vic went through a lot of personal misfortunes in his life, but always managed a smile and a kind word.  We have been very pleased that he and Bernie got together and have had such a happy marriage. She really made a difference in his life.  Ask Bernie to tell you about her red dress.

Vic was an extraordinary, witty, empathetic man with an infectious smile.  He was kind and supportive to his family and everyone he met.  We were so happy when Bernie first introduced him as "The One".  Love you Vic!

Dear Vic. You were the best neighbor, friend, surrogate father/grandfather to us. We so appreciated your hospitality... your door was always open to us. How many times did Pierre and Mikki sound the "alarm" that we were coming over for a visit... too many to count! You would greet us with a big smile every time and your gentle, sweet nature was so welcoming. You were very smart, conversational, had such great stories from all your experiences and really had something to say about ANY topic. That just amazed us. You always were so interested in what we were doing. You made us all feel so special! We loved your laugh, too... you had a wonderful laugh and you made us laugh often. We always left your home happy! We feel very blessed that you and Bernie have been such a big part of our lives. We will miss you. Bernie knows she has a special angel watching over her now.

Vic was a true gentleman.  His smile and comforting manner always left me feeling that I was a better person after being with him.  I am so fortunate to have known him.  He opened his home to me when I was just Bernie's cousin in need.  Provided a place for me to stay and heal from my injury.  I dearly love Bernie and Vic for their love and generosity.

Grandpa Vic was so special to us.  He was always laughing and smiling when we would come over.  We will always love him.  We know he is in heaven watching over us with his special grandpa smile.  Don't worry Mommy and Daddy will make sure we have a chemistry set. Love you Grandpa.
