Walter (Gene) Simms, age 66, of Woodson Terrace, Missouri passed away on Saturday, Aug 3, 2024. He was born August 11, 1957, to Walter Eugene and Elsie (nee: Metz) Simms. They have preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo (nee: Crisler) Simms; Siblings: Barbara Radley, Catherine Landrum, Mary Ann Broyles; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gene loved to fish and loved to bar-b-que. He worked at Checker Bags for 35 years before retiring. He was a great husband. He was always there when family members needed his support. He was a great host for the many family gatherings that took place in their home. He truly loved kids! He always made people laugh.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday Aug 21 at 10:30 AM at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home and Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074
