It was hard to see you go, but I know you are not struggling anymore. You touched so many lives, most of all mine. You were my "rock", my protector, my friend who loved me unconditionally. Rest in peace, until we are together again. Carry on, Marine. You accomplished a lot in your lifetime and can rest peacefully for a job well done. Semper Fidelis!! Your devoted wife - Cqroline.

Caroline,
Bill was your fortress in a storm and loved you so much. He had touched so many lives. Everyone that met him loved him and respected him. Though the love of your life is gone in body, always remember he is with you in your heart forever. You both held such a special place in my heart and I will remember how wonderful he was to me and others he has met on this earth. My prayers are with you along with a blessing of a brighter hope for tomorrow.

I talked only talked with Bill on the phone during his last days, but thanks to his loving, lovely wife Caroline, I got to read his history and see his pictures in full uniform. He looks like he stepped right out of a recruiting poster. He was truly a Marine's Marine. I serve as his ML's newsletter editor and had the pleasure of presenting his wonderful persona to his fellow Marines.
