Agatha Marion Herman

Agatha Marion (Ossowski) Herman, 89, of Saint Clair Shores, MI passed away peacefully the morning of November 2, 2021. Born in Detroit, MI on February 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Smith) Ossowski.

Agatha married William Joseph Herman in 1950 and they were married for 63 years before William passed away in 2014. They had 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Gay, as many people know her, loved spending time with her family, going to the casino, playing bingo, keno, cards, dice and traveling around the world.

She is survived by her children: Joseph (Karen) of Chesterfield, MI, Marianne (Leif) Rolke of Straubing, Germany, Carol (Gary) Jones of Twin Falls, ID, and Ina Ottens of the Netherlands; daughter-in-law Sharon Herman of Sebastian, FL, son-in-law Fred Land, Jr. of Roseville, MI, and sister-in-laws Denise Emerine of Lawrenceville, GA, and Catherine Herman of Fullerton, CA.

Grandchildren: Kimberly, Lori, Alyson (Eric), Jacqueline, Megan, Nicholas, Ashley (Austin), Parker, Alycia (Randy), Mitchell, Conny (Pascall), Pamela (Damien), Jim, and Thomas (Jennifer).

Great-grandchildren: Alexis, Reese, Leighton, Taylor, Carson, Carissa, Lenny, Aiden, Gideon, Ethan, Andrew, Calen, Alastair, Katie, Adalynn, Ella, William, Gabriel, Kristina, Kortney, Ava, Erica, Justin, Jensen, Julia, and Coen.

Long time care giver Sarah Gunter and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband William, son Michael, daughters Lynne Land and Philomena, sisters Catherine Bloss and Sister Rita Ossowski, SSJ, brother William Ossowski, brothers-in-law Donald Herman, James Herman, George Bloss, and Steven Emerine, granddaughter Kerilyn Redish, sisters-in-law Mary Jane Herman, Rose Marie Ossowski and mother and father-in-law William and Helen Herman.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Goodfellow Organization, Sister of Saint Joseph, or Divine Word Missionary.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral mass on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 28301 Little Mack Ave., St. Clair Shores.
