Alan John "Buddy" Koles III

Alan John “Buddy” Koles III, age 45, died September 3, 2014. Beloved husband of Jenny. Loving father of three children. Dearest son of MaryAnn Koles (Joe Sofina) and the late Alan J. Koles Jr. Dear step-son of Mary Anne Cotton. Brother of Kelly Ann (Jason) Smith, Jennifer (Mark) Monday, and Matthew (Monica) Koles. Dearest son and brother-in-law of the Gonzalez family. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Buddy and Jenny met in Germany while both serving in the US Army. He was a proud veteran who served in Operation Desert Storm, and an avid hunter & fisherman. He spent many precious days with close friends, family, and his children on the water and in the woods of Michigan & Montana. He worked many years in the automotive industry and earned the respect of his co-workers and peers. People described him as a hardworking, charismatic, and strong willed individual. In the wake of Buddy's tragic death he would want us all to know how much he loved his life, wife, family and friends. There will forever be a void in the lives of everyone who loves him. He will be truly missed, keep his family in your prayers. Memorial visitation Thursday 2 pm until time of Memorial Service and Military Honors at 7 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
