So many hearts are aching now, losing this wonderful man too soon. There are countless fond memories we all have of & with him, & with the DesMadryl family. Mr. & Mrs. D. raised 2 of the nicest sons I've ever met, & now have 2 extended families missing him as much as I do. I'm so fortunate to have talked to him again at the Halloween Party. He was the same sweet man I met when I was around Ruby's age. He taught me how to wink & flirt before I even knew what that was, & I loved to be at the DesMadryl house as the "adopted daughter" so many years ago. Thank you for being such a wonderful man & role model for all of us. You'll forever be in my heart <3

All the pictures bring back a rush of childhood memories.  My dear friends, our whole family is grieving with you.  What a great loss.  He was a wonderful man.  I always respected and admired him for the way he treated John, Jim and me when we were kids.  He treated me like one of his own.  It is a sad time.

We are all on this earth for a reason! We know for ourselves that the reason for us is that Al, was placed on this earth to touch all our lives.All of us have a story of some kind to tell, of kindness and humor, of a Husband, Father, Grandfather Brother, Brother-in-Law and friend. Pops i can't thank you enough for everything you have given us. i want you to know that you are my hero. I really have come to understand what a true hero is over the last few days by countless people telling me story after story of how you made them feel warm and welcomed with your friendly conversation no matter if you just met them or you have known them your whole life. This trait as well as the skills you have taught us is what makes you a true hero in our eyes.  I promise to make sure to teach my children to treat people as well as you have taught us! I am very sorry to hear about your lose, I remember the time when we lived behind them on avon. This old garage was coming down, Marlene climbed on top top of it and started to go at it. Two seconds later who comes flying over the fence climbs on the roof of the garage and we started to take it down. Next thing you know we had the whole neigborhood over help terring the garage down, before you new it ,it was down. He was always there when someone needed help,going to miss you but will always remember the good times we had in S.C.S.being his friends and the partyies, hunting , fishing.

sorry 2 hear that your dad has passed.  i'm glad that my sister & i got 2 see him & your mom again last October.  he will be greatly missed, he was always so kind & jolly.
i'm pretty sure that scott & Mr. D. were the ones who taught me how 2 shoot a bow/arrow first, when i was in grade school.  i have fond & numerous memories of time spent at your house when we were young.  i'm fortunate 2 have you all in my life!

John and Scott we were sorry to hear about your dad. I will remember him at all the events the fire department had, I am sure he did not miss many. He would always have a good story to share and friendly conversation. No matter what you two were involved in he and your mother were around for support.
