As a child, Ami attended University-Liggett School (87) in Grosse Pointe Woods and continued her education at University of Michigan (92) where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English.
In September 2003 Ami married James Palazzolo, reveling in the large family dynamic and thoroughly enjoying all of the nieces and nephews. Ami and Jim had just recently begun traveling which Ami really loved. She enjoyed boating with Jim and gardening at home.
She had an amazing work ethic and was well liked by her coworkers and friends.
Ami will be remembered as kind, friendly and helpful to everyone she met and will be sorely missed by all her family and friends.
Ami is predeceased by her parents, David Grover Wormer and Anne Getz Wormer and survived by her husband Jim, her sister Sigrid Christensen (Richard Levy), and her brother Christopher Wormer (Rebecca.) She will be remembered lovingly by her sisters- and brothers-in-law, 12 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews.
Ami was a lifelong animal lover. If interested, donations can be made in her name to the Michigan Humane Society. No flowers please.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, beginning at 4:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
