Barbara Ann Smith, age 98, passed away on July 4, 2026. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 19, 1928 to her late parents August and Geraldine Wenzel. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband James and son, Gary. She is survived by her loving children: Susan (Barry) Brinkley, Scott (Marianne), Dale, Greg (Kristin); 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. In her younger years, Barbara enjoyed bowling. She loved Glenn Miller and was a devout Christian and bible reader. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society in her honor. Visitation, Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral service, Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with a gathering beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East.
