Beatrice Rose McCaffrey, age 101, of Clinton Township passed away Monday, January 2, 2023. She was born June 25, 1921, in Roseville, MI. to her parents Homer and Martha (Tshoepe) Allard. Beatrice is preceded in death by her husband Peter O. McCaffrey, (1965), son, Paul G. McCaffrey (November 11, 2022) and Bea’s sibling’s Homer, Florence, Ethel, and Harvey.
After the death of her husband, Bea continued to be the pillar of her family ensuring her children were her top priority. She was a beacon that attracted everyone she encountered, as she brought love and joy to their lives.
Bea was passionate about cooking. It was her way to keep her family and friends united, and her way to share her love and kindness. Her recipes will live on throughout generations. Bea was a huge sports fan; she loved the Detroit Red Wings, she called them “Her Boys”. Bea liked watching game shows and playing card games, Euchre was “her game”.
Those cherishing Bea’s memory are; her loving children, Patricia (John) Lozen, Peter McCaffrey, Patrick (Diann) McCaffrey, Paulette Maxwell, Pamela (William) Wark, Philip McCaffrey, daughter in law, Linda (Paul) McCaffrey, her eighteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
We can only wish we had her amazing strength and perseverance. We all need more Bea’s in this world.
There will be no Service at this time so her family can all gather at a later date to join in together for A Celebration of Beatrice’s Life. It will take place at St. Margaret’s Parish Church, 13 Mile Rd. St. Clair Shores, July 29, 2023, 10:00am visitation and service at 10:30.
