Dearest Bernice,

We were so blessed to have you join our family. You were always so generous in sharing your love and were radiantly full of joy. I'll always remember the family holidays, regular visits, and everything in between. You helped teach us what it means to be part of a family, and how to share our love to the fullest extent.

You will be deeply missed, and your love will continue on forever.

With love,
Daniel Ruemenapp

I have fond memories of many a Christmas Day spent with Bernice and the Ruemenapps. When I was younger, she and Grandpa Chuck would occasionally come out to Livonia to visit Fr. Ed and take me along with them. We'd stop at Wendy's for lunch first. I always remember sleepovers at their condo in Clinton Township when I was little, perhaps while my parents were out of town. We visited Chuck and Bernice in Florida one winter while our family was vacationing at Disney World and that is a joyous memory. Her and Grandpa Chuck were always present at our graduations from grade school and high school and made it a priority to drive all the way out to Livonia or Detroit. Bernice was always so proud of her family and enjoyed talking about all of the wonderful things her grandchildren were up to in their lives. She loved our grandpa so very deeply for more than 25 years and brought so much joy to his life. She was so kind to everyone in the Ruemenapp family and she will be so greatly missed. She will be forever in our hearts.
