Betty Lou Lauzon, age 92, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away on December 21, 2020. A lifelong resident of Michigan, Betty graduated Salutatorian from East Commerce High School (Detroit) where she studied business, was on the Journalism Team, and was voted Most Likely to Succeed. She was instrumental in managing Van Zanen Lumber Company (Fraser). A lifelong member of Resurrection Lutheran Church (Detroit) where she sang in the choir and more recently, a member of St. Paul's Church (SCS), Betty also enjoyed spending time with family. She loved being called Grandma and "GG", and was very close to her sisters. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, shuffleboard, being a Star Trek "Trekkie", listening to singer Engelbert Humperdinck, and watching the freighters pass by at the family cottage on Harsen's Island. Betty was born on March 8, 1928, to the proud parents of Louis and Elma Pearce. Wife to the late Leo Lauzon, Betty is the beloved mother to Thomas (Sally) Lauzon and Richard (Mary Alice) Lauzon. Betty is the cherished grandmother of Scott (Shelley) Lauzon, David (Beth) Lauzon, Christopher Lauzon, Paul Lauzon, Thomas (Tricia) Lauzon II, Kathryn Lauzon, and Joseph Lauzon. She is the great grandmother to Benjamin, Joseph, Samuel, Leah, Alivia, Lauren, Caroline, and Emmie Lou. Betty is the dear aunt of Gary (Debbie) Wolf, Douglas (Lorri) Wolf, and Ken (Linda) Wolf. Betty was preceded in death by her two sisters Joyce Pearce and Dorothy (Robert) Wolf. Due to the times we are in, a family-only Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 2, 2021, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The family appreciates your understanding and your continued prayers. Interment will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan following the services at church. A Celebration-of-Life will be planned later in 2021 for family and friends.
