Betty Winning, a long-time resident of Saint Clair Shores, MI, passed away on January 25, 2025. She was 95 years old. Born in Detroit to Anna and Nickolas Verlinich, Betty graduated from Southeastern High School in 1947. She married the love of her life Robert Winning in 1952. Betty was very involved in her church and had an extremely mischievous sense of humor. She put a smile on everyone’s face that she met. Betty was predeceased by her husband Bob, sister Lillian and brother Nickolas. She is survived by her great niece Sophie Verlinich, cousins Kim Kvocka (Brownlee Field), Mark Kvocka (Suzanne) and Dan Kvocka (Charlotte), and close friends Ann Grider and her family. Funeral services will be held on February 19 at 11:00 at Redeemer Lutheran Church of St. Clair Shores, with visitation at 10:00. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Kaul Funeral Home of St. Clair Shores has been entrusted with arrangements.
