Throughout the years, I could always count on Brian to connect with me, by making direct eye contact, giving me a embracing hug and always taking the time to listen. He was a kind man. I will miss him. He was definitely a special ingredient to the Blancke clan. With fond memories and a touch of sadness, John Quinlan

Loved this guy. Always upbeat and friendly. He will truly be missed by one and all.

So back in the early 80’s, several of us were having last call at Rustics. Brian was there and insisted on taking the Sindbad’s tug out for an early morning cruse. Needless-to-say we were all pie-eyed after endless beers. Finally docked about 5:30 am. It was a night to remember and Brian made it the highlight of the morning (can’t say evening as we were will beyond that).

Generous guy and fun to be with. God speed my friend!
