

Bruno F. Lipski, age 98, of St. Clair Shores, formerly of Detroit, passed away December 1st after a short illness. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia (Janiszewski) Lipski for 37 years and loving father of Cynthia (Leonard) Matusko and Illene Lipski. He leaves behind dear friend Carol Plotkowski and her family. Also Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all.
Bruno was a special part of the Greatest Generation and served as Navy motor machinist mate second class in World War II between 1943-1945. He was on board the USS LST 293 landing on Juno beach during the Normandy invasion.
Bruno retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 35 years of service. Throughout his life he was an avid baseball player, golfer and loved to fish. His daughters would like to thank Church of Christ Care Center and Great Lakes Caring Hospice for the wonderful and loving care he received there.
Visitation will be at Kaul Funeral Home on Jefferson in St. Clair Shores, Thursday December 8 from 2-8pm with a 7pm prayer service. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 9 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church on Little Mack in St. Clair Shores. Bruno will be in-state Friday at the church at 9:30 am. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township. Donations to Michigan Honor Flight, Capuchin Franciscan Province of St. Joseph or a charity of your choice.
