In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his adored daughters and sons by marriage: Andrea Fickert and Tim Baibak, Elise and August Delemeester and his precious granddaughter, Dahlia Rose Delemeester. His treasured sisters Diane (Bob) Roper, Barbara and her husband Dan Arker, who was Carl’s best friend, his brothers and sisters-in laws: Charlotte and Calvin Moe, Marty and Dianne Williams, Bryan and Wendy Williams, Janice Fickert and his Mother-in Law, Emma Williams will also miss him dearly. He will also be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews, loving friends and the kindest neighbors. He was predeceased by his parents Karl and Elizabeth Fickert and brother Gregory.
Carl was a skilled hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed watching football, playing Euchre and a good joke. During his valiant battle with cancer, Carl’s faith was renewed and he relied on God for the courage to wage the fight.
Carl and the family were blessed by the outpouring of love from so many during his illness. For this we are grateful. The family would also like to express their gratitude to his team of Doctors and Nurses and Techs who cared for him during his illness. We especially want to thank the team who cared for him on 1 East at St. John’s Ascension.
There will be a gathering at Metropolitan Church of the Nazarene, 18945 Frazho Road, Roseville to remember and celebrate Carl on Saturday March 11 at 10a.m, until the memorial service at 11 a.m.
In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Metropolitan Church of the Nazarene Benevolence Fund https://app.easytithe.com/app/giving/metronaz or a charity of your choosing.
