Caroline is the beloved wife of 64 years to Lee Schaeffer Sr. Loving mother to Diane (Kenneth) Peck, Jack (Laura) Schaeffer, and Lee (Nancy) Schaeffer. Cherished grandmother to Jackie Schaeffer, Michael Schaeffer, Courtney (Fiancé Joey Bartolotta) Gazdick, Brooke Gazdick, Joe Schaeffer, and Ryan Schaeffer. Dear great-grandmother to Vincent Bartolotta. Caroline was preceded in death by her siblings Donald, Vincent, Rosemary, Louise, and Joann. Caroline will be missed by all those who loved her.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, beginning with a gathering at 9:00 am until time of mass at 10:00 am, at St. Joan of Arch Catholic Church 22412 Overlake Street, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48080.

Her final resting place will be Resurrection Cemetery, in Clinton Township, Michigan.
