Charles E. Schutte, age 90, passed away June 6, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Remelda Schutte and sons Charles and Stephen. Served honorably during WWll in the United States Navy while stationed in Key West, Guam, Saipan and Tinian, among others. Known to family as Buddy and Uncle Buddy, he spent weekends growing up in Caseville, Michigan with his loving parents Charles Sr. and Elsie, along with his remarkable sister Marie. While pursuing a successful career in the banking industry, Buddy made sure his wife and children had the same great experiences that he did by building a cabin just down the road from Grandma and Grandpa on Sand Point, near Caseville. Boating, swimming, fishing, trips to Lefty’s drive-in restaurant and countless trips to the Caseville municipal beach to relax and watch the sunset, never missing the annual Fourth of July fireworks display. Less common but still magnificent, were trips to Rogers City, Alpena, Hawks, Lake Avalon and Lachine, Michigan to visit with Mom’s side of the family. So many magical memories that we will forever hold dear.
