My sincere sympathies on the loss of 
your husband.  Don was a wonderful person.

No longer in service to his fellow man, Don is now in service to the Lord.  God bless his family.

Don was a great guy to work with, even though we were on seperate departments, when we would assist him on fire runs he would say with a smile thanks for being there. Don was the hallmark of our K of C council. He was a truly loving and giving man. Don lived charity every single day. It was an honor to know and work with him in the Knights of Columbus.

My grandfather was a kind and understanding man who only wanted to ensure everyone he saw had a smile on their face and in their hearts.  He will continue his quest from heaven smiling down on all of us, and hoping that we all smile back in return.  Please remember the love he shared with all of us and smile back :)  We will all miss you Grandpa and love you eternally!!

Don was a such a friendly, always smiling man.  Scott and I were always greeted with a big strong hug or hand shake at either Troy hockey rink, at a Tiger game or at a Red Wing game and at SCS fire Dept functions even after retirement. You made alot of people smile and feel welcome. You will be missed but your job isn't done yet, God needs your help now more than us. Hugs and kisses to all his family members. I first met Don and Rosemary when they drove students from the Elmwood Middle School Ski Club that I sponsored in the mid 1970's, and continued to regularly receive Communion from him at the 4:00 p.m. Saturday mass at St. Joan of Arc Church.  He was a great man, one whose dedication to family and church will not be forgotten. My prayers are with Rosemary, her daughters and the grandchildren. Don will be missed by all, but fond memories will remain!

I met Don through St. Joan of Arc and was so impressed by this gentleman who always seemed so calm and kind.

As a  former employee of the Troy Police Department, I worked closely on many occasions with Don at the Troy Ice Arena. Don was always willing to help and was a true gentleman who went out of his way to be friendly and helpful.
