I take with me all the special memories of our Christmas Eve’s. We always went to Grandma & Grandpa Tabor’s House. We enjoyed seeing our cousins, talking & playing. I remember Uncle Bob always buying gifts for all of his nieces & nephews, Grandpa always passing out the gifts & Grandma always smiling, offering her yummy cupcakes. I also remember the fireworks we got to watch from Grandma’s house. We lined up our chairs & Grandma went down that line offering tootsie pops or my son would say “lollipops.”
I’m so blessed my son got to know his Great-Grandma. It was a short time, almost 5 years but I will share all these memories with him that will last a lifetime! We love you Grandma!!

I feel blessed to have had John & Doris Tabor as my parents.

I want to share part of some papers I just found. My mother's thoughts one year after my father's death.

I feel I must go to the cemetery every so often. I remember John saying it is heated, come visit. I am sorry he never got to see his final resting place. I'm sure he would have approved. He knew it was on top. When my time comes I will feel privileged to lay next to him. Time is an illusion, only love remains. Love wants only to be joined with the one loved.

I have learned so much about grief this past year. How important it is to show love & accept love. We take things for granted never thinking of the things to come. Why is it to late to learn these lessons. I pray my children & grandchildren will be close to God so we will all be together in the hereafter. I would like to think we all join up with family & friends in God's world. May God bless everyone. Doris Tabor

Mom , Thank you: for being a wonderful mother, loving and taking care of me all through my childhood years. As I grew you sent me off to school and with your help I was taught right from wrong, the golden rule and how to pray. As I reached adolescence and then a teenager we didn't always see eye to eye, but I always felt the love you had for me. As I became a man left home, married and started a family of my own, the love I received from you and dad has been past on to my wife and sons. As my sons have grown into fine men, I can see the love in them that has been passed on from generation to generation. Thank you Mom and Dad for your love that will live on in the hearts of your loving Family.

The last of my amazing grandparents. I was blessed at birth to have 2 wonderful sets of grandparents. This really made me realize how fast time can come and go. But my dear grandmother you wanted to be with grandpa and Uncle Bob and you did it. So I will try not to tear over the next few days because you have achieved the ultimate peace. Being at peace with your husband, son and holy father. May God be with us all. Love Johnny.
