Douglas A. Benson, age 70, passed away August 1, 2016 at his home in Grosse Pointe Woods. Beloved husband of Janet; father of Virginia Benson and step-father of Lea (David) Stoyka; grandfather of Lawrence Sobson. brother of John (Patti) Benson. Douglas graduated and obtained his MBA CPA through Wayne State and Michigan State University. He was a CPA in the Metro Detroit area for many years.
