This time of year makes a difficult situation all the more.  I'm glad you will be surrounded by your loving family.  I hope it will ease your pain and bring you peace. Sending lots of hugs and love your way for a blessed Christmas.

I have often thought about the last walk we took together on that cold night in Detroit.  We talked about many things but I remember most your comments about your Mama.  We talked about how hard it is to be a teenager, how sometimes we hate our parents, how much we want to become independent and yet how much we realize we still have much to learn.  You told me how angry you would get at Mom but then you told me how much you loved her and how your friends loved to come to your house because of your Mom.  And you told me you would always take care of her.  I told you how very much I loved you and that gives me great comfort.  I know you knew just how much you were loved...by your Mom, by Billy, by Gram.
Your smile will always light up my heart and when we are together again....I am going to beat you at HORSE!  I love you Dylan....Gram

You were honestly the easiest person to talk to. You helped me through a lot. I consider myself blessed to be one of the many lucky people you had an impact on. We all miss you. I can't wait to see you again one day. Love ya bud.

I remember when we were in middle school and you were so popular even though I was older I still felt sweet for being your friend. lol. that time we hung out at the water park was probably the only time we ever hung out but we used to talk every day on aim, back in the air dylan days. ;) you always kept touch with me after I moved which was so sweet. and recently we would talk on twitter here and there. I may not have been a big part of your life but it's sad to see you go.. you were a great person Dylan, and a great friend. you live on through millions of memories. xo

I didn't know Dylan personally, but I do pray for the family & hope that you know that God is with you & with Dylan at all times. Do not hold onto the pain of him leaving, but hold on to the love & memories he brought while he was here. He's always watching over you guys.

i remember when we were younger and you moved across the street. you were the only one in elementary school willing to be friends with weird girl who sat in trees. i remember going back and forth with erick jumping on our trampolines and playing basketball in the street and riding skate boards. those were some of my favorite memories as a kid and now this all just doesnt feel real. it hits me little by little that youre actually gone. i keep expecting to show up at a party and you be there laughing, having a good time like you always did. i miss you a ton dylweed <3 ill never forget our friendship.

I know a lot of people didn't know we were kinda close in a way, so I'm sure the posts I wrote on your wall and stuff confused a lot of people but you were always there for me whenever I needed a friend, just like I was there for you. I consider myself  lucky to have spent a year being Dylan's teacher.  He was smart, kind, funny and a joy to be around.  I could always count on him to bring a smile to my face.  I  kept in touch with him over the years and couldn't refrain from letting him know how I proud I was of him and the man he was becoming.
