

Filippo Manzo, age 88, has gone to heaven on February 19, 2015. He was born on January 1, 1927, in Campobello di Mazara, Sicily. Filippo was the beloved husband of Teresa (nee DeAngelis) for 57 years; loving father of Marco (Carol) and Loreto (Brenda); dear grandfather of Emily, Anthony, Catherine, and Angela; brother of Giacomino (Giovanna), Lina (the late Giuseppe) DaiDone, and Cecilia (the late Giroloma) Russo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Filippo was predeceased by his parents Marco and Antonina of Campobello di Mazara, Sicily and his local family Giuseppe and Lucia Zuccaro of Eastpointe and Carmen and Mary DeAngelis of Sterling Heights. He was a devout Catholic and had a strong faith. You could always count on Filippo to be at Sunday liturgy. He was a member of the Cepranese Club. Filippo was a tailor for over 60 years and loved his job. He was a caring and giving man, and he will forever be in our hearts. The family welcomes you to celebrate Filippo’s life on Monday, February 23, 3-9 p.m. and Tuesday, February 24, 1-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. 15 Mile Road (@ Schoenherr Road), Sterling Heights. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, February 25, at 10 a.m. with In State beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 48115 Schoenherr Road, Shelby Township. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
