George Paul Matheny, age 79, of Harrison Township, Michigan passed away on December 30, 2020. He was born on February 20, 1941, to the proud parents of Paul and Evelyn Matheny. George is the beloved husband to Madeleine J. Matheny for 33 years. He is the loving father to JB Matheny, Kelly (Russ) Conwell, Shawn Matheny, Shannon Wills, Dawn (Andrew) Severson, and Neal (Katie) Schatzberg. George is the cherished grandfather to 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is the dear brother to Donna Pruzinsky. George was preceded in death by his two children Janine Lerminez and Kathleen Szafran. George had a witty sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him well. Funeral Mass will be held on January 9, 2021, beginning at 10:30 AM for the gathering, 11 am Mass, at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Catholic Church 18720 Thirteen Mile Road, Roseville, Michigan 48066.
