We were saddened to hear about Aunt Germaine. We will miss her sharp wit and beautiful smile.  So many good memories from up at the cottage and family gatherings. Wishing her friends and family comfort and peace during this sad time.

What a wonderful lady.    As a child, we lived directly across the street from Germaine.   She was my mother's friend and coffee buddy.   Everyday, at some point I could find my mother chatting  with Germaine over a hot cup of coffee.  This was decades before the next generation would create coffee houses to get together with their friends.    I  will always think of Germaine when I look at  a big scar on my hand from over 50 years ago.    As a five year old child,  I was chasing my sister and went though the glass screen door with my hand.    I immediately ran across the street to Germaine's house hoping to find my mother.  Although my mother was not there,  my second mother calmly pulled the glass from my arm, cleaned me up and ''taped' up my arm all while having her morning coffee.    Her love and patience will always be remembered. 

Aunt Germaine will be dearly missed. She possessed an amazing spirit & love of life. She was genuine & exceptionally giving of herself. 
Incredibly thoughtful, she never missed a birthday or holiday. Aunt Germaine loved a good political discussion and her sharp wit and great sense of humor never failed to add life to the party. May we all find comfort in the memories we are left with.

She was born on October 22, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to her late parents Frank and Martha Conserriere.


Germaine was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Lacey, son, Gregg Lacey, longtime partner, Joe Koziol, sister, Rosemarie (Robert) Bollaert, and nephews, John Cone and Robert Bollaert.
