Helen Leona Karapuz

Helen L. Karapuz, a longtime St. Clair Shores resident, passed away on October 31, 2025 at the age of 98. She was born on January 20, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to her parents Frank and Petronella Trawczynski. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph J. Karapuz, son, Keith (Diane) Karapuz and all ten of her siblings. Helen is survived by her loving son: Kevin (Deborah) Karapuz; grandchildren: Brian (Courtney), Brett, Blake (Jessie); great-grandchildren: Cooper, Brady, Kade, Emilia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capuchins.

Visitation, Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.

Funeral Mass, Monday, November 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. (Instate 9:30 a.m.) at St. Joan of Arc Parish, 22412 Overlake, St. Clair Shores.

Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan following mass.
