James G. Eberts

James Gerald Eberts of St.Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 12, 2012 at the age of 83. Born to Harry Eberts and Elizabeth Alice Behn on February 22, 1929, Jim was the fourth of six children. He was a US Army veteran and a master carpenter. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, woodworking, stained glasswork, and was a Detroit Lions fan until the end. He loved talking to anyone about anything and didn't take opposition lying down. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Eberts; his brother, Harry Eberts; his sister, Shirely Beaujean; his four daughters, Susan Eberts-Mentik, Christine Eberts-Engstrom, Jean Eberts and Diane Eberts and his seven grandchildren. He was an extraordinary father, a good man and a loyal friend. he will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters Mary Stout, Dorothy Elgert and Joyce Regal. Visitation Friday, March 16, 2 - 9 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 am, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Old Newsboys Goodfellows Fund.
