Jane Alice O’Halloran, age 94, passed away on October 26, 2025. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 28, 1931 to her late parents Garney and Madeline Reid. Jane was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim. She is survived by the O’Halloran nieces and nephews, the Thornton cousins, and numerous friends. Jane earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and her master’s degree from Wayne State University in teaching. She was a kindergarten teacher for the Detroit Public Schools for many years. Jane was a summer resident of Harsens Island. She was a member of the Alhambra Sultanas, Beta Sigma Phi, Detroit Metro Book & Author Organization, the AAUW and numerous other organizations. Jane was also a big lover of dogs.

Funeral Mass, Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. (Instate 9:30 a.m.) at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 21201 E 13 Mile Rd., St. Clair Shores. Burial will take place Monday, November 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp, MI.
