Jann majored in Chemistry and earned a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University. She worked as a Medical Technologist at St. John's Hospital where she met several lifelong friends.
Upon retirement Jann really got active. She was heavily involved on and off stage with Grosse Pointe Theater and I know several of her fondest memories are from that group and the shows they produced. Jann was in two feature films and had a brief speaking scene with Sean Penn!!!
Jeanette spent her last years in Murfreesboro, TN near Nashville, where she made another big group of friends. She introduced Mahjongg to her retirement community, Adam's Place. They describe Jann as a "fireball" and she remained independent up until she had a stroke in June 2025.
Jeanette was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Macy Hight. She is the loving mother to Michael (Sue Ann) Hight and Mark Hight. Cherished aunt of 14 nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen Bolds, brothers James Bold and Charles Bold. Jeanette will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 3, 2026, beginning with a gathering at 10:00 am, until time of service at 1:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair shores, Michigan 48081.
