Jeannette V. Dabish, age 82, passed away December 14, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Sabri "Sam" Dabish. Loving mother of Catherine (Timothy) Quinlan; dear grandmother of Nicholas Quinlan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virginia (Bloenk) Gervais, and by her brother Joseph. Jeannette is survived by her sister-in-law Eileen Gervais and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jeannette earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University; and a master's degree from Wayne State University. She taught middle school math in the East Detroit Public Schools for 32 years. Jeannette enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
A funeral mass for Jeannette will be held at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 E. 14 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48312 at 11:00am on December 23, 2020. Jeannette will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following mass. 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
