John Thomas Curcuru was born on 10/03/53 in Highland Park, Mi. He was a 1971 graduate of Lake Shore High School. A musician & Bass player for 40 years, he played and sang and charted his own music for over 1000 songs. He was well known in his community as a member of the Band Cirrus which almost went professional and got a record label. He continued to play in other bands until he became ill at the age of 60.
In 1988 John graduated top of his class from National Education Center in computer engineering. He worked for Alro Steel, ABTCO, Fanuc Robotics, and Lorio Ross Entertainment in Royal Oak. While he was a manager for Lorio Ross he was responsible for all Professional sound reinforcement and repairs. He worked briefly at Chryslers for 4 years. His last job was at Trinity Health in Livonia, Mi for 14 years.
John was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Roseville where he met his wife Suellen. They were married in Roseville on January 14, 2006. John is survived by his wife Suellen, her daughter Janey Michels and his two sisters Betty Curtis of Roseville and Sally LaRose of Saint Clair Shores. He loved the Tigers, wrestling, his Dog Cooper, and riding his 1998 Honda Ace Classic 750 Motorcycle. He also loved baked goods especially the ones with almonds. He accepted Christ into his Heart at the age of 10 while he was in Boys Brigades. We are confident that he is with his Lord and Savior in heaven with a new body and no pain. This is our confidence in Christ. He has many nieces and nephews who are older and have children with children of their own. He loved all his family and friends and always had their best interest at heart. John passed away on 9/22/2018 at 1:20 am at Henry Ford Hospital from Liver and Kidney failure due to Nash Cirrhosis of the liver and the further complications of DIC and his Afib. He was surrounded by family at the time of his death.
He was loved so much by many and will be missed by all.
