Beloved husband of Kathy Strobbe for over 22 years; loving brother of Fred (Gail) Schmidt, Carol (Pete Sindelar) Williams, Alfred Schmidt, Diana (Michael) Burton, Susan (the late Mark) Frost, and Paul Schmidt; proud uncle of numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
John was a gifted painter and artist. He enjoyed cowboy action shooting tournaments, searching for thrifting bargains, and adding to his Monopoly game collection (over 100!!!!).
The family will greet guests from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 1 at the above location. Visitation from 9:30am until time of service. Interment following at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp.
