I looked forward to seeing Jon at the reunions each year. I made sure that I was always at the breakfast area when he came down. I was honored that he trusted me enough to help him with his breakfast. I loved hearing his stories and seeing his sweet, sweet smile. I am so very grateful that I had a chance to know him in our later years. Rest in peace sweet Jon and rejoice in the glory of your new home with all those gone before us. I love you and I'll miss your perfect presence.

Uncle Jon taught me not to take what seems like a small thing or milestone for granted. He couldn't drive a car, but was always excited when one of his nieces or nephews turned 16- because that meant they could drive! We'd get near that milestone birthday and he'd ask us "Are you learning to drive a car yet?" and be SO excited for us, and then say "I wish I could drive a car". I know you're with Jesus now, and I hope you're driving a shiny, new sports car! I will always miss your laugh, too- you laughed from your soul, and it was joyful and contagious! Love you, Uncle Jon!

Love,
Becky

A fond memory I have was when we were at my brother-in-law's retirement party and the band was playing some Motown music. Jon really wanted to dance so we went up on the dance floor. Soon, all of my sisters and many other ladies joined us. It was a happy time and we were all together, which made it even better! I will miss you, brother, and rejoice that you are whole and happy "up in the clouds" with Jesus. Until we meet again .. l love you.

I miss you already Jon. Your laughter and awesome smile will stay with me forever. I'll miss us joking back and forth with me calling you Jon boy Walton and you replying ok Kathy girl Walton! All I ever wished for you was for you to be happy and I think you will be now. Until we meet again brother. I love you

My heart hurts because you’re not here Jon. As I’ve always said every time I saw you, “I love you Jon!” I miss you and will always remember the great times spent with you. Golf cart rides at Tom and Donna’s house when you almost rode up a tree, with you laughing that most memorable laugh. Oscoda reunions. Stoney creek picnics playing catch with you, and you throwing the ball so hard, my hand stung. There are to many times to recall, however, they will always bring a smile to my face. A smile in my heart forever. Rest In Peace my brother.

Jon didn’t expect much and appreciated what he had. His needs were simple and he enjoyed the basics that we all take for granted. I hope he is happy and his soul is at a peaceful place. “I love you Jon and my tears are falling because I truly miss you. You will always be perfect in my eyes.”

Uncle Jon had the greatest laugh! It brought smiles to the faces of anyone who heard it. His kindness and his smile will be missed.
We love you!
