Joseph “Pat” Carey, age 87, passed away on June 28, 2022. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 28, 1935 to his late parents Joseph and Mary Carey. Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara; loving children: Michael, Donna (Rich) Bowers, Melisa Barber; dear grandchildren: Courtney (Kevin), Kyle (Shannon), Brandon (Jessica), Ashlyn, Aubrey; great-grandchildren: Cadence, KJ, Rosie, and one on the way baby Jayce; and brother-in-law: Kenneth (Sharon) Czarnecki. He enjoyed traveling, the beach, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his family and often traveled to visit his daughter and grandchildren in Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church or Church of Christ Care Center. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. (Instate 9:30 a.m.) at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 21201 E Thirteen Mile Rd., St. Clair Shores.
