Joseph Krutell, age 86, passed peacefully on March 27, 2012. Loving husband of the late Beatrice; father of Brian (Gloria), Teresa (Ken) Beaupre and Mark (Caroline); grandfather of Ken Beaupre, Jessica, Kevin and Michael and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Joe taught for 36 years in the Grosse Pointe public schools. He served for six years on the Lakeview School Board and eighteen years with the St. Clair Shores City Council. He was also active with the St. Clair Shores Democratic Club, St. Clair Shores Parade Council, St. Clair Shores Lions Club and St Clair Shores Library board. Visitation Thursday, March 29, 6 - 9 pm, and Friday, March 30, 2 - 9 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Joe will lie in-state Saturday from 9:30 until time of Mass, 10 am, at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 23401 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.
