June Leota Swick-Shank

June Leota Swick-Shank, age 99, passed away on February 24, 2020. She was a longtime resident and business owner of Swick Tax Service in St. Clair Shores. June was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Seth Swick and Walt Shank and her sisters: Vera, Lois, JoAn, and Carol. She was the loving mother to: the late Ralph (Donna) Swick, Ronald (the late Sharon) Swick, the late Roger Swick, Junie (Bill) Tyrrell, Rob (Jan) Swick; grandmother to: Laura, David, Danny, Eric, Jason, Adam, Amanda, Rob, Russell, David, Dean, John, Spencer, Matt; great-grandmother to: Natalie, Alexandria, Ashley, the late David Jr., Cameron, Seth, Ashton, Bradston, Calista, Adriano, Nina, Charlie, Vivian, Kelly, Cory, Gabriella, Annabelle, Dakota, Madylin, Connor, Quinton, Mark, Nixxon, Jaxxon, Ruxxton, Vallen; and great-great grandmother to: Dorian, Ivan and Markie. June enjoyed being a member of the chamber of commerce and holding the office of Vice President. She loved spending time with and raising her children and grandchildren and enjoyed needlepoint. She was the President of her homeowners association and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She retired with Walt to Islamorada in the Florida Keys and spent 11 years residing on a 53-foot motor yacht, where they survived two hurricanes. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visitation on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral service on Sunday, March 1 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
