Our whole family is so terribly sorry to hear of your loss. The world has lost a very special lady. We knew Karela as well as her children, and her father Ralph as well. We were friends, neighbors, we worked together, and laughed and cried together. A lot of memories, to many to mention. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers.

We are so very sorry that the world has lost such a wonderful woman and gentle soul. We just found out today, quite by surprise, when we stopped up at Oddfellows to see if you were there. I have known you for so many years its hard to count. You lived on Greiner, and I remember both of your kids, and especially your dad Ralph, who I loved so much. Its funny, I was yours and your dads bartender back then at Phils. You will be truly missed. To her son and grandchildren, we send our deepest sympathy, and would have been there if we had known. Karela will always be remembered for her wonderful smile, kind and big heart, and we are both so glad that she was part of our lives.

I met Karela when I was 13. Although I had a great Mom, Karela was my confidant. There wasn't anything I couldn't tell her and she always had positive, happy solution to all the "hopeless" problems of a 13 year old girl! Her optimism and joy for life followed her always and her love for others was abounding. She will always be remembered with much love. Cheryl Barr (Bohm)
