Karen passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2023 at the age of 72. Karen is survived by her one and only child, her loving and doting daughter, Lisa Walsh, her 2 precious grandchildren that meant the world to her, Dylan Walsh and Alexis Walsh, along with her siblings, Richard (Skip) Kent and Linda Kent along with her many cousins.
Karen was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Peter Lewnau, along with her parents Richard and Shirley Kent.
Karen was a devoted Mother and the best “GiGi” to her beloved grandchildren. Karen was a lifelong resident of St. Clair Shores, she graduated from Lakeview High School, Class of 1969.
Karen loved the game of football and she was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan. Karen was an animal lover and loved her cat “Kitty” and the family dog Zoey with whom she would swim with in the summertime. Karen loved to fish, take trips to the casino, going to garage sales, gardening with her grandson, Monday night poker with the Golden Girls and most of all she loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren as they were her entire world.
Although Karen will be deeply missed by all who loved her, she is now reunited with the love of her life, Peter, for all of eternity.
Service will be held at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy on Monday, May 8th at 12:00 PM. Burial to follow immediately after service.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
