Just returned from a vacation to hearing the sad news of Kathy's passing.  I'm in shock as I had just spoken to her right before leaving.  I was privliged to have gotten to work with Kathy on a couple projects.  Her kindness, knowledge, and compassion is what made her a great person to work with.  Her smile, and positive energy will be missed at UWM.  My condolences to her family and friends.

I’m so sad to hear about Kathie’s passing. She was such a kind and genuine person — the kind of person who made work feel a little brighter just by being there. Kathie always had a way of lifting people up, and I’ll never forget how encouraging she was when I was going through tough times as a single mom. She never hesitated to offer advice, a laugh, or a little bit of reassurance when it was needed most.

She truly cared about people, and that’s what made her special. I’ll always be grateful for her kindness and the way she believed in me. She’ll be deeply missed.

I had the great pleasure of working with Kathie on many projects at work. She was always so kind, knowledgeable, and solution oriented! She will be truly missed by all of us. My prayers are with the family in this very difficult time!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Katherine. She is a wonderful person who always has a smile on her face.

Kathie was a joy to work with.  It's hard to imagine work without her presence.  She was always asking the hard questions and making sure she got the answers.  She was hard working, but also a lot of fun.  She will be greatly missed.

I had the great privilege of working with Kathy, and in the three years I knew her, she taught me so much. Every day, she spoke with pride about her boys and shared countless stories about them. Kathy was filled with love and compassion, and she had an incredible ability to connect with everyone around her. Whether you were dealing with a work issue or simply having a rough day, she always knew how to make things better. I will deeply miss her laughter, her stories, and her infectious smile.

Kathy was always an inclusive person. She shared everything and made sure everyone felt heard and appreciated. Her pride for her sons was prevalent from the first minute you met Kathy. Hopefully her sons can take solace and comfort in knowing she's always watching and her pride ever growing. Kathy will be missed, but never forgotten.

This is so heartbreaking...I worked with Kathy for many years and occasionally bumped into her in a Michaels or Kroger. She was a bright and intelligent woman and she will be missed dearly.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Kathy. She was a wonderful person to work with, and her absence will be felt by all of us. Kathy was intelligent, logical, kind, and a joy to be around. She had a genuine care for those around her and often spoke lovingly of her boys.
