Kevin Earl Wilson, age 68, passed away on October 30, 2023. He was born on June 4, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to his father, Vernon Wilson and mother, Gertrude “Polly” Wilson. Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 9 years and best friend of 24 years: Rachel Johnstone; children: Sarah Beth (Timothy Hamm) Wilson, Katherine “Kaytie” Leigh Wilson, Lisa Mae Wilson; step-son: David Alan Johnstone; grandchildren: Alex, Ryleigh, Catherine, Trenton, Ava, Elizabeth; siblings: Keith (Ann) Wilson, Vernon “Guy” (Darlene) Wilson, Janet (Jerry Bolton) Wilson, Joel (Kris) Wilson; siblings-in-law: Charles (the late Marcella) Johnstone, James (the late Sharon) Johnstone, Mary (Joseph) Guerra, Mark (Maria) Johnstone, Matthew (Pauline) Johnstone, George (Jennifer) Johnstone, and Patrick (Kay) Johnstone. Also left to cherish his memory are many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Wilson, mother, Gertrude “Polly” Wilson, sister, Adele Caudill, brother-in-law, Ron Caudill, father-in-law, John P. Johnstone, and mother-in-law, Eunice Johnstone.
He was an avid Detroit sports fan and enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, camping, and spending time at his cottage up north. Kevin was a proud member of the UAW Local 869 retiring from Chrysler after 45 years of service; and was a member of the Moose Lodge #1837. He was a hardworking family man that had a passion for being around babies and people. All of those who met him loved him and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Due to his love of all things sports, the family asks that when attending the visitation and service you dress in your favorite casual sports apparel.
Visitation, Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral Service on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. (Gathering 10:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.
