My brother and his wife have spoken up and asked for these pictures when I am gone. I know these pictures will go to a place where they will be appreciated.

Larry Meyers - you beautiful soul.  You started out as a coworker and quickly became so much more to me.  You loved your family, a good crusty bread, a nice glass of wine, music, antique cars, your grandparent’s home town of Torbole, the lake house, birds, a car ride with Anderson Cooper, tumbling Lake Superior rocks and my personal favorite…a good belly laugh with a friend.
You were an incredibly talented artist and I will forever cherish the pieces of your artwork that I have acquired over the years.  
You had strong political and social beliefs and you learned how to wear them like a badge of honor.  You knew who you could be your 100% authentic self with and you cherished those friendships.  I believe I was one of those friends and I will forever hold you in my heart.

I will miss Larry for his kind and thoughtful spirit. The day I found out that I would be working in a COVID ICU unit when the pandemic started, I shared with Larry how scared I was and terrified.  He told me “God bless you all for all that you all are doing “ and told me to be careful. I thanked him graciously and went inside to take a shower to get ready for my first night shift. I hear a knock on the door, Larry ordered dinner for me and my family with this beautiful card. It is people like Larry that are the true angels! He will truly be missed.

I have known Larry for about a year and have enjoyed our correspondence so much. My niece Wendy Wilson introduced us and thought it would be a good match….and it was!!!We both are painters and would collaborate often. He would help me and I would help him.  We had some nice conversations and many laughs. I spoke with him on New Year’s Eve and looked forward to speaking again…but it wasn’t meant to be. ,My heart will be broken for a long time. My sincere sympathies will be with you all on Saturday…..hugs…”Ant Marf” aka “Sista” …Larry preferred Sista

Its been a few years since I have had the pleasure of working with Larry and all.  Larry has left us with lots of great memories and I have my some good ones to cherish. I hope all reading this are able to stay Safe & Healthy and remember the Kindness of Larry. Larry has gone ahead of us to be their when we arrive so we all can spend our time with him and all who have left us.

My heart aches.  I am so sad over sweet cousin Larry’s passing.  His kindness, compassion and wonderful sense of humor cannot be overstated.  He is loved by so many of us here on earth. And loved by so many in heaven!  Larry has always been so incredibly good to his family, especially to his mother, Nonna and his aunts. I know those Benedetti women were the first to greet him and accompany him home.  They are certainly fawning over him in heaven!  I can imagine all the joy they are sharing and all the hearty embraces they are giving him along with his beloved father, Nonno & Matthew. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family - until we are all reunited once again.

Dearest Larry… Your memory will live on in the hearts of many, including mine! The daily working together at BCCH after all of the daytime employees left. The realization that we were connected through family created our calling each other ‘CUZ’!! Our love of Italy, your wonderful baking skills and your gorgeous watercolors!! The first thing you made when I met you were pretty stained glass pieces!  Your talents were many. 
I always admired your love of family and how proud  you were of them. You had a heart as big as You!! 
Both my Larry and I are saddened to learn of your untimely passing. Gone too young. I’m raising my glass and toasting to you sitting on the porch at Barnes Lake… life will not be the same without you and I miss you already!

Back when we were both very young, we worked together at Bicounty. We shared many laughs and way too many good times. Thankfully we stayed connected through Facebook. He was so artistically talented and I wanted to own every one of his paintings. When my brother was dying, there was a painting that spoke to me and Larry refused to take any payment for it. He drove it over in his pretty car and gifted it to me with a hug and a smile. He spoke often and lovingly of his nieces and nephews. His family was his purpose.  My heart breaks for you all.  I know you have wonderful memories of him and I hope that brings you comfort. Praying for your strength and peace.

Larry I remember how much fun we had when we were Teenagers. Always running around Barnes Lake and having a Blast. I will miss your sweet ways and all the laughter you gave us when we ourselves were feelings down. Your gonna be missed my Friend. God Bless you

Larry was a wonderful person, brother in law, and friend. I knew him for 50 years. Met him in 1974. We had great times together. Dancing, laughing, drinking and talking. I hope you are dancing in heaven. Will miss you.
