Lawrence Joseph Smolinski, age 41, of Warren, Michigan passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Lawrence was born in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Lawrence G and Ingrid Smolinski. Loving husband of 6 years to Kari L. Smolinski (Fur animals Piper, Smokey, Puck and Raevyn). Cherished brother to Nicole (Jeremy) Blumenschein. Dear uncle to Makayla, Tyler, Mackenzie, Joshua and Todd III. Lawrence was the loving son-in-law to Susan (Mark) Pierce and brother-in-law to Amy Shellnut (Fiancé Todd Furby).
Lawrence will be missed by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Lawrence had many interests but his top three would be, being a gamer on his X-box with playing with both of his dear nephews. He also was a huge hockey fan as his favorite team of the Red Wings and had so many Friday and Saturday nights with his friends singing karaoke. If you think of Lawrence that was one of his favorite things to do, he loved music and singing and coming up with so many rhymes. Lawrence was one of kind and he will be truly missed by so many.
Visitation Monday, February 26, 2024, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a Rosary and Family Sharing of Memories at 7:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
Lawrence will lie in state on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am, until time of mass at 10:30am, at, St. Margaret of Scotland 21201 E. Thirteen Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48082.
Memorials in memory of Lawrence are suggested to the American Heart Association and the American Arthritis Foundation.
Lawrence will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
