Maicle "Nick" Leon Wilson, age 69, of Greenbush, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky to parents Foyster and Lela Wilson. He was the beloved husband of 43 years to the late Margaret Wilson. Father to Shannon, Lisa, Nicholas, and Renee. Papa to Ryan, Alyssa, Xavier, Miranda, Zachery, Faith, Camran, and Alaina. Dear brother to Susan Holzclaw, Gladys Wilson, Ernie (Kathy) Wilson, Bruce (Trina) Wilson, Ray Wilson, Orry Wilson, Rhonda (Patrick) Larkin, Robert (Evelyn) Wilson, and Teddy Wilson. Nick was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings Curtis Wilson, Pauline Berry, and Esmond Wilson.
In August of 1955 Maicle became the seventh child born to Foyster and Lela. The family made their home in Williamsburg, Kentucky. While living there, six more children were added to the Wilson clan. In 1967, Maicle’s father passed away. By this time, a number of his older siblings had moved to Michigan in search of jobs. In 1967 Lela moved her younger children to Michigan to be near her family and older children. In 1977 Maicle, who became known to the MacPhee side of the family as Nick, met Margaret MacPhee at Paramount Fabricating in Detroit, where both of them were employed. She was introduced to “Nick” by work friends. They began dating and by August of 1978 they were married at a small church in Mt. Clemens. Nick brought into the new family a son, Shannon, and a daughter, Lisa. Nicholas and Renee were born in the next few years rounding out their family. Nick eventually began running his own business, Roc It Drywall. Margaret joined him in the business after Paramount closed their doors. Nick enjoyed watching westerns on TV, hosting family gatherings, and puttering around their cottage in Greenbush, Michigan, on the sands of Lake Huron. Nick was a good provider. He loved his family and friends. Nick will be missed by all those who knew him.
A visitation for Nick will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI 48081.
Funeral Service will occur Friday, May 2, 2025 beginning with a gathering at 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, at the funeral home.
