I was heartbroken to learn of Anne's passing which a
I just learned about. I was her Assistant at the 
Consulate in Detroit.  (1991 )  She was a force  to be reckoned with and  a powerful female Consul General. We became friends and met with her for lunch  and another colleague in Ottawa later on.  I still have the beautiful vase she gave me which was unique. I miss her very much and am grateful for all she instilled in me. God bless Anne and d her family
