I can’t stop thinking about my mom she made such an impact on my life I miss picking her up and taking her to Belle Isle or the beach or just driving around I always felt at peace when I was with her I rarely saw her angry newer saw her in an argument never said anything poorly about anyone and she always suggested to turn the other cheek My God could we learn anything from this woman. May you rest in peace with the family and friends you are with now I will miss and think of you forever your loving son Nicky.

I met Thia Maria in Cyprus in 1980 & never imagined that 2 yrs later she would become my favorite Aunt! I spent my 1st Xmas in the US at her home working at Uncle Nicos’ Restaurant. From the 1st day she made me feel at home, I was a part of the family. Always with a smile she would prepare lunch for me, she was the Best Cook! Every Monday I was off & she made sure to show me around. I spent the summer of 1983 working in Michigan & stayed at my Aunt’s. She was an Amazing LADY always with a smile & willing to help people. She was the 1st Cousin of my Dad & always shared childhood memories from their small village of Droushia! When I returned to Cyprus, I always wanted them to visit to take care of them in return.
She was the most generous, giving, loving, fair & caring person who I admire a lot for what she achieved having in mind that she started from a small village in Cyprus back in the 1950s.
We are all very saddened by her passing & that we did not manage to see her one more time but we are thankful for all the memories we have with her & her family which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. It was her life wish to go & pray at Apostolos Andreas Monastery, a place that she last visited 50 or so years ago for a Christening, before they moved to America. You should have seen her big smile when we entered the Church of the Monastery which is almost a 6 hour drive from Droushia - located on the eastern most tip of Cyprus currently under Turkish occupation. It was worth every mile of the trip! We were very pleased that we made her happy - a person whose life purpose was to make people happy, she was an angel!
Nobody in the States or in Cyprus has a bad word to say about her!
If only we had more Marias in this world - it would be a better place!
My favorite Aunt you will be missed but we are happy that you became part of our lives!
We feel richer that we met you! Until we meet again!
Our Deepest Sympathy to her Children, Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren.

Remembering all the good times & laughter we were fortunate to share with Thea Maria, Theo Nick, Kathy & our yiayia in Cyprus & the USA - we had the best times together!

Thea Maria & our yiayia had such a special bond, they were just like twins always bouncing off each other. They were so happy when they were together. We soon learned how much they had in common, including fun times at the casino the night before Kathy’s wedding. Baking, cooking, chatting & laughing together.

We loved our special times in Cyprus all together - one of the things we always remember Thea Maria & Theo Nick asking if we were going “downtown” as we got ready to go out! The kisses she would give us when we left - always caring - always smiling!

Thea Maria & our yiayia sometimes waiting up for us to make sure we got home safely or when they were on hand to rescue a lizard from our room in the middle of the night!

We were so lucky to meet up as a family despite living so far away. We have such wonderful memories that we will always cherish, always in our hearts Thea Maria - you will never be forgotten - all our love forever Sarah & Nina xxxx

I loved my mother-in-law so much and I am going to miss her dearly. She was the kindest most generous lady I have ever met. I was very blessed to have her in my life. She was a great yaya to my kids and we all loved her so much. I loved baking with her and I am definitely going to cherish all of her wonderful recipes I have collected through the 30 years that she has been in my life. I’ll miss you Ma. All of my love. Maria.

Nick, Lisa, Adam and Bianca Tsindides.

We will always have such fond memories of Thea Maria and my mum the times that we were all together in Cyprus over the years.

I often think about the first time I came to America when I was 17.
Your mum and dad picked me up from Canada and drove me to Detroit. While crossing the border Thea said to say I was her son. We crossed ok but I am still looking over my shoulder for the sheriff.
I remember spending a few days with my family in America.

We would like to send our condolences to Kathy, Franky, Nicky and all their families.
A loving warm caring Thea. Such good memories.

God bless you Thea Maria.
Rest in peace.

My Maria, I tried so hard to contact you before you passed but was told that you had been moved. I wanted so much to talk to you one last time. I love you so much that it breaks my heart that you have now left us. I will always remember with loving memories the times we spent together. When I last visited you, we had such a good time reminiscing and laughing. It was a joy to meet and spend time with all your children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. You dedicated your life to being a truly good mother, yaya and wife. I will always remember your strength both physically and mentally in working hard to help your family. Your life was devoted to your children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren who are a credit to you. Your hard work, dedication and the sacrifices that you made showed what a great mum and person you were.

My biggest regret in life was that we were parted as children and lived so far apart. Distance did not stop our bond and the fun we had when we did meet up. It was a privilege to be your sister and I thank you so much for your gifts and the love you showed, not just to me, but my children. You were kind, loving and generous to everyone you met, life will never be the same without you.

Καλό ταξί Μαρία μου, I love so much. I will light a candle and say a prayer for you when you are laid to rest. May the ground be soft where you lay.
