Mark, also known to his family and close friends as “Nimmy” passed away suddenly from natural causes. He was a resident of St. Clair Shores, MI, and retired from the South Lake School district after a long career. Along with being a true Detroit sports fan, he enjoyed wood working, yard work and helping others. His latest joy in life was his rescued dog, Carmen, which not only made him smile but all those who saw them together.
He is survived by his siblings Gary (Vivian) Hofley, Karen Klenk, Andrea (Jack) Gillespie, Dale (Jill) Hofley, and Terri Hofley, as well as various nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Veronica Hofley and siblings Anita Thornton, Janet Lawitzke, Neal Hofley and Brian Hofley.
A visitation and memorial will be held at the Kaul Funeral Home, St. Clair Shores, MI on Sunday January 20, from 1pm – 4pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marks memory to the Michigan Humane Society at https://www.michiganhumane.org/donatenow/
